I had some fun figuring out how to achieve the quality required for a luxury brand. One link is solid while the other is cut in half and glued together. The inside is then polished by hand, which is very difficult. A lot of consideration was given to the geometry of the links in order to give workers enough room to polish hard to reach areas of the links.
I am really happy with how the radius profile of this round mirror turned out. it’s always great to work with craftsmen who are able to execute your design perfectly well with no issue.
Shagreen has a long history of luxury. It does not have a history of being kind to eels. This faux shagreen is a lot more economical while maintaining a stunning aesthetic.
